Flood relief initiative in Gadchiroli and Chandrapur districts

In response to the recurring issue of floods in Gadchiroli district during every monsoon, our organization initiated the ‘Helping Hands‘ project in 2019 and 2020. Hundreds of villages faced disconnection from the rest of the world. We intervened by providing necessary items to the affected people, with a special focus on the victims of the excess water release from Gosikhurd Dam in 2020. To date, our efforts, supported by socially conscious individuals, have contributed to relief work worth around 10 lakhs

COVID-19 relief for daily wage workers

During the first lockdown imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we addressed the plight of daily wage workers who lost their livelihoods.  Our organization distributed food kits to nearly 1400 Kolam families in JiwatiRajura, and Korpana Tahsil of Chandrapur District.  Additionally, we provided a month’s ration to hundreds of daily wage workers in Gadchiroli, mitigating the immediate economic impact of the lockdown.

Advocacy for free coaching for UPSC aspirants

Recognizing the educational disparities faced by Scheduled Tribes (ST) in Maharashtra, our organization tirelessly advocated for equal opportunities. We highlighted the underrepresentation of ST candidates in prestigious government positions and the lack of UPSC coaching provisions for tribal students. Our persistent efforts bore fruit when the Maharashtra State Government issued a government resolution on 20th April 2021, announcing free UPSC coaching for 100 ST students at reputed private coaching institutes.
