Adv. Deepak Chatap

Deepak Chatap is a lawyer, researcher, and Chevening Scholar with a deep commitment to constitutional justice, grassroots empowerment, and global legal discourse. He holds an LL.M. from SOAS, University of London. he was honoured with the Chevening Gold Volunteering Award by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the UK Government for his exceptional voluntary service and leadership. He is exclusively selected as Constitutional Defender Fellow by the Center for Law and Policy Research for his community lawyering works.  Moreover, he is a recipient of Samata Fellowship by the CORO India organisation. Deepak has served as a legislative researcher to the Finance Minister of Maharashtra, contributed to drafting questions and policy briefs during assembly sessions, and practiced law as an associate and judicial intern at the Bombay High Court.

His fieldwork and advocacy span the domains of environmental justice, education access, and social rights. A published author and columnist, Deepak has written on farm laws, water rights and has co-edited the Handbook on Water Law. Moreover, Deepak has participated in several prestigious international and national forums. These include the Chevening Annual Conference in London (focused on AI, education, and digital governance), the ‘Gender in Conflicts’ conference at the University of Glasgow, and dialogues organized by UN bodies, the National Human Rights Commission (India), and leading Indian universities.

He has also hosted conferences on judicial activism and water law, building cross-sectoral dialogue between students, practitioners, and policymakers. 

Adv. Bodhi Ramteke

Bodhi Ramteke is an advocate, researcher, and Erasmus Mundus Human Rights Scholar, currently pursuing a master’s degree in, Human Rights Policy and Practice through a prestigious joint program offered by leading European universities. He began his academic journey at the Indian Law Society’s (ILS) Law College, Pune, where he completed his BA LLB. During his legal education, Bodhi worked with prominent human rights lawyers as well as local and international organisations. He was awarded the Samata Fellowship by CORO India in recognition of his commitment to grassroots social justice. 

Bodhi has served as a Research Associate at the Centre for Research and Planning, Supreme Court of India, and interned in the chambers of Justice D.Y. Chandrachud and Justice Ravindra Bhat at the Supreme Court. Internationally, he was selected for the United Nations Graduate Study Programme 2024 in Geneva and contributed as a Researcher to the Australian National Community Consultations on Caste Discrimination (2024). An active writer, Bodhi regularly engages with issues concerning Dalit and Adivasi communities and is the author of the Marathi book Nyay (Justice)

He has also presented his research at international conferences and workshops in the UK and Sweden, contributing to global discourses on caste, indigenous rights, and constitutional justice.

Adv. Vaishnav Ingole

Vaishnav Ingole is a lawyer hailing from Manglurpir in Washim, Maharashtra. He served as a Legal Researcher at the Supreme Court of India, holding a BALLB degree from ILS Law College, Pune, and an LLM in Access to Justice from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Collaborating with eminent figures like Padma Bhushan Shri. Julio Ribeiro and Prof. Shamim Modi, Vaishnav actively contributes to legal initiatives. 

As a ‘Samata Fellow,’ he fosters constitutional values among youth. Vaishnav’s articles on legal issues feature in esteemed newspapers and magazines, showcasing his passion for advancing constitutional awareness.
